"God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them." Hebrews 6:10
Through "The Whole Place" we offer a number of ways for community members to be of service to their neighbors.
We have said to our neighbors "The WHOLE PLACE is yours!" We have formed an intentionally reciprocal community of agencies, clubs, non-profits, and 12-step groups dedicated to "loving our neighbors as ourselves". This "Community Possibility Engine" still has room for more partners. If you have an idea of how our campus might be used to serve others, we want to hear from you!

Children join us for worship, and are invited to come forward for a Children's Message each week with Pastor Layne. (Which most adults also benefit from.) Following the Children's Message and Passing the Peace in the sanctuary, children are welcomed into The Kid's Zone for a "one-room schoolhouse" Sunday School Lesson.
All couples desiring to be married by Pastor Layne here in our church are asked to complete a short pre-marriage counseling course. While it is not mandatory that these sessions be conducted by Pastor Layne, most couples agree that the shared experience adds to the intimacy and commitment felt by the couple during the ceremony.
Pastor Layne uses the FOCCUS pre-marital survey as the basis of what is usually two counseling sessions with the couple.
Pastor Layne has officiated well over 100 weddings and considers them to be one of the great "perks" of his calling as a congregational minister. Our beautiful sanctuary has seen well over 1,000 weddings over the years, and provides a spiritual setting for weddings large or small- formal or more relaxed. As Disciples of Christ, our denomination is often the perfect place for families of differing faith backgrounds to find and establish a new common ground rooted in Love of God and service and compassion in Jesus' name.
For more information regarding wedding policies and rates, please contact our secretary; Ellie Larez-Brault
In addition to his weekly Sunday Morning duties of worship leader and preaching, Pastor Layne welcomes the opportunity to serve FCCW congregants and community members in any number of other "pastoral" roles. Counseling, teaching, public speaking, and general assistance all fall within his job description, and he is pleased to be of help in any way that he can.
We are pleased to be allies of our neighbors of other faiths, including our Muslim sisters and brothers. We are also a safe space for LGBTQ+ persons.
All are welcome. All are Cherished. All means ALL.
Pastor Layne is often called upon to conduct off-site weddings, funeral and memorial services for non-congregants, and to be with family members as their loved ones transition to their next life.
